
Jagdeep Dhankhar's family celebrates after BJP nominates him for Vice-President's post

Jagdeep Dhankhar's family is elated and in a mood of celebration after the West Bengal Governor was announced as the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) nominee for the post of Vice-President.
The family of Jagdeep Dhankhar is celebrating at his family home in Jaipur after the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) announced him as its nominee for the post of Vice-President. The family is elated and is in a celebratory mood after the announcement.
India Today caught up with the eldest brother of Jagdeep, Kuldeep Dhankhar, and other members of the family at their Jaipur residence. The Dhankhar family residence has been echoing with palpable excitement ever since news of him being nominated for VP's post by the BJP came out.
“He was extremely hard working and studious as a child. He spent his childhood years in Jhunjhunu and went to Chittorgarh military school. After that, he did BSc. (Honours) from Maharaja College in Jaipur and also did law course from Rajasthan University. He went on to become an extremely famous lawyer,” Kuldeep Dhankhar, brother of Jagdeep, mentioned to India Today.
Jagdeep hails from Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan. Most of the members of his family are from farming background. His formative years were spent in Kithana, his ancestral village in Jhunjhunu, and in the military school in Chittorgarh.
Jagdeep Dhankhar’s 17-year-old grandson, Dino Dhankhar, finds him “inspirational.” Talking to India Today, Dino said, “I spoke with my grandfather a few minutes ago. Firstly, we had a chat on WhatsApp and thereafter, he called me. He has been very inspirational and he keeps on encouraging children to do better in life. Even I am interested in politics. I follow him on all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook.”
"We have been extremely happy with him being chosen as candidate for Vice President as it is a big thing," said Jagdeep Dhankhar’s granddaughter Radhika Dhankhar to India Today.
"There has been a sense of elation not just in the family but in the entire Jat community after his nomination for the post of VP by the BJP," Vijaypal Khatana, another relative of Jagdeep, stated.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
