Jacqueline Fernandez cried, hugged co-star Akshay Kumar on Ram Setu wrap, reveals insider

An emotional Jacqueline Fernandez was seen in tears on the last day of Ram Setu's shoot. She had grown close to her co-star Akshay Kumar and director Abhishek Sharma, especially given the personal crisis she was going through. An insider reveals all the details.

Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez recently completed shooting for Ram Setu. Through the videos and photos shared by the actors on social media, we got to know how Akshay and Jacqueline celebrated the last day with the entire crew of the film. Now, IndiaToday.in has exclusively learnt that Jacqueline got emotional on the last day of the shoot. It is because Jacqueline went through a lot of personal struggles during the making of Ram Setu.

A source close to the film has exclusively informed IndiaToday.in how Jacqueline had gotten close to the film's director, Abhishek Sharma, and actor Akshay Kumar during the making of Ram Setu.

"On the last day of the shoot, the actress got emotional and spoke to the director and her co-star about her experience working on the film and how she shot the movie while going through her personal turmoil. During the making of the film, Jacqueline was spotted reading spiritual books and journaling in between the breaks. At the same time, her team would try to cheer her up and keep her morale high during the time of her personal crisis, " the source added.

The source further told IndiaToday.in, "Jacqueline was shooting for Ram Setu in the middle of the ED inquiries and a very public scandal. The film is very special to her and she became very close to everyone on set from the director to the DOP. When it hit her that they had wrapped the shoot and it is the last day, she got very emotional. She has been personally battling a lot of hardships, from her mom’s health to the scandal with photos of her with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar going public. The actress used Ram Setu as a work distraction and a good place to get away from mental stress."

Jacqueline shared a happy video on her Instagram handle from the last day of Ram Setu shoot. She wrote, "#ramsetu what an adventure it was!!! Thank you team for the love you’ve poured into this film!! (sic)."
