Happy Oscars weekend!
The 98th Academy Awards are this Sunday, and everybody in Hollywood is getting ready to be decked out in their finery – for some of us, that means a fancy wrestling T-shirt and comfy pants. A new class of Oscar winners will be feted on the big night, so it's a great time to catch up on the current flicks up for honors, as well as celebrate all the history that's been made over nearly a century. And if you need a break, feel free to dive into one of several new streaming movies, check out theatrical treats like "Undertone" and "Reminders of Him," or binge the Amazon drama "Scarpetta," which stars not one, not two, but three (!) Oscar winners.
Now on to the good stuff:
Missed out on "Marty Supreme"? Forgot about "Frankenstein"? Overlooked "One Battle After Another"? Now's the time to make sure you are all set on the Oscar viewing front. We've got a handy-dandy graphic on the best way to catch up on all the best picture nominees, plus a guide to every nominated movie you need to see to best prep for the Academy Awards. What history could be made Sunday? My bud Patrick Ryan has the rundown on all that. And for a deeper dive on best pics, here's my analysis of the top five who have the best chance of taking home the big prize.
