Fans of the "A Court of Thorns and Roses" series will have to keep waiting in the wings for a television adaptation.
On the Wednesday, March 4, episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, host Alex Cooper asked author Sarah J. Maas whether she was interested in a television adaptation of the ACOTAR book series, to which she expressed concerns about having to compromise on her creative vision.
While she confirmed she now owns the rights to all her work, she said she won't adapt her work for the screen until she has a guarantee that there won't be any restrictions.
"I'm a type A control freak a little bit, but I want to know everything about how it gets made, not because of that control, but just because I love movies. I love TV. I want to be a part of that, and I want to see everything adapted the way I envision it and the way I know fans want it," Maas said.
Maas also said she would struggle to cast Rhysand from the ACOTAR series, as she hasn't yet found an actor who could do the character justice.
