Iqaluit man charged with sexual assault against youth

Iqaluit RCMP say they have charged a 43-year-old man with sexual assault of a youth.
In a news release Thursday, police said Emmanuel Chofor, 43, is due to appear in court on Feb. 13.
Police said a youth reported being sexually assaulted in Iqaluit in early 2024.
The RCMP investigation is ongoing as police work to determine if there are other possible victims. RCMP said they don't intend to release any further information about the investigation at this time.
