IPL 2022: The DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches during the league stages of Indian Premier League.
The DY Patil Stadium is one of the 4 venues that will host the league stages of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The matches will be played across 3 venues in Mumbai and the MCA Stadium in Pune.
The 15th edition of the IPL will be played in a bio-secure environment at a single hub to avoid air travel which is considered as a major threat for the spread of COVID-19 infection, thereby affecting the players and the League/matches.
20 matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium which will begin by hosting Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings on March 27, a day after Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai hosts the opener between Chennai Super Kings
