Royal Challengers Bangalore are set to take on Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League on Wednesday, 25 May at the Eden Gardens.

The Faf du Plessis-led side has made it to the playoffs stages despite a negative run rate and they breathed a sigh of relief when Mumbai Indians did a favour and beat Delhi Capitals in their final league game.

There were plenty of positives for RCB in their last game where they defeated group leaders and finalists of the current edition of the game. Virat Kohli looked promising hitting lovely shots and celebrating each boundary that his partner hit and on the other hand, Glenn Maxwell exploded like never before this season. Maxwell’s allround performance won RCB the game, but Virat Kohli picked the man of the match award for making a tricky pitch look like a flat batting track.

The team will hope that they get the vintage Kohli back in this game as well and they could not have hoped for a better ground than Eden Gardens.
