International drugs syndicate accused arrested from Bihar

Proclaimed offender Siddharth Gandhi, aka Jacky, who was involved in an international drugs syndicate has been arrested from Bihar.

Proclaimed offender Siddharth Gandhi, aka Jacky, who was involved in an international drugs syndicate has been arrested from Bihar. He was absconding since January, 2019.

With the arrest of Siddharth Gandhi, another absconding member of a large drug syndicate has been brought to face trial of this case before Special Judge, NDPS Act, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi.

Six accused, namely Sunil Kumar, Lokesh Mehta, Satish Sahu, Neeraj Arora alias Sonal, Rajesh Dutta alias Raj (a British Citizen), and Vishal Singh have already been arrested in connection with the case and are facing trials before the concerned court.On June 15, 2019, accused persons Lokesh Mehta and Sunil Kumar, both residents of Delhi, were apprehended in joint possession of about 5.2 Kg “Tramadol Powder”.

During further investigation, total 5.5 lakhs ‘ALKO-1’ (Alprazolam Tablets I.P. 1mg) were recovered from their godown at Hari Nagar, Delhi on their instance.

During further course of investigation, on instance of above accused persons, one of their associates, namely Satish Sahu was arrested and a total 5.100 Kgs of contraband substance ‘Tramadol Powder’ was recovered from his possession.On the instance of accused Satish Sahu, a raid was conducted near Old Rajender Nagar, Delhi and two more associates namely Neeraj Arora aka Sonal and Rajesh Dutta aka Raj were arrested and 200 grams white psychotropic substance “Ketamine” was recovered from their possession. Further, on their instance, another raid was conducted at Green Avenue, Vikas Nagar, New Delhi and total 7.94500 Lakh tablets (Tramadol tablets) were recovered from their godown at Vikas Nagar, Delhi hidden inside rice packets.

During further course of investigation, the names of Vishal Singh Fagna, Siddharth Gandhi aka Jacky and Ashwani Kumar Rattan were revealed as other members of the drug syndicate who remained absconding for considerable period of time despite regular visits to their places. Finally, they were declared as Proclaimed Offenders by the court vide order dated March 9, 2021.

Out of above three POs, accused Vishal Singh was arrested in March, 2022. All the accused persons are in judicial custody.On July 1, Cell arrested accused Siddharth Gandhi aka Jacky resident of Dayal Sar Road, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, Also at: Bindya Bhawan, Daryapur Gola, Patna Sadar, Patna, Bihar from his residence in Bihar.
