Terrorist Abdul Rahman was found murdered inside Faridabad's Neemka Jail after a head injury. Fellow inmate Arun Chaudhary of the Rohit Godara gang is the prime accused, with gang member Mahendra Delana publicly claiming and praising the killing on social media.
Terrorist Abdul Rahman, lodged in Faridabad’s Neemka Jail, was found murdered late Sunday night after sustaining a fatal head injury, with a fellow inmate linked to the Rohit Godara gang emerging as the prime accused, police said.
The accused has been identified as Arun Chaudhary, who was recently transferred to the jail from Jammu and Kashmir.
Soon after the killing, a member of the Rohit Godara gang appeared to claim responsibility on social media, publicly endorsing the attack and praising Chaudhary.
The post, attributed to Mahendra Delana, congratulated the accused and framed the murder as an act against terrorism. In a statement circulated online, Delana wrote that Rahman’s killing was justified and warned that “this will be the fate of anyone who goes against the country.”
“Brothers, Abdul Rahman was killed last night in Faridabad jail. He was a terrorist and was involved in planning an attack on the Ram Mandir. When he was caught in Faridabad, two grenades were found with him, and he was involved in several terrorist activities against the country. Brother Arun Chaudhary has brought him to his end, and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts. Heartfelt salute to brother Arun Chaudhary”, Delana wrote.
Law enforcement agencies are examining the post and assessing possible charges related to glorification of violence and criminal conspiracy.
