Ink thrown on Rakesh Tikait in Bengaluru, farmer leader alleges govt hand in act

A few people threw black ink at farmer leader Rakesh Tikait in Bangalore.
Miscreants threw black ink at farmer leader Rakesh Tikait at Bangalore’s Press Club on Monday. The former national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union from Uttar Pradesh was addressing a press conference.
The miscreants were supporters of a local farmer leader, Kodihalli Chandrashekar.
Earlier, a regional news channel had quoted local farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar saying, “We asked for money to call off the bus strike.”
Chandrashekar had also used Tikait and many central farmer leaders’ names.
During the press conference, Tikait said, “Kodihalli Chandrashekar uses our names and he's a fraud.”
Angered by this, Chandrashekar’s supporters threw ink at Tikait.
Tikait said, "No security has been provided by local police here. This has been done in collusion with the government."
