Indian Coast Guard rescued six fishermen from distressed boat off Tamil Nadu coast on Wednesday.
Indian Coast Guard on Wednesday, May 11 rescued six fishermen from a fishing boat in Gulf of Mannar. The crew along with their boat was safely brought to Tuticori harbour in Tamil Nadu.
The fishermen were rescued from a distressed fishing boat named Punitha Anthoniyar. The search and rescue operation was carried by Indian Coast Guard ship named Abhiraj.

Recently, Indian Coast Guard had airlifted 11 fishermen to safety in Odisha. The fishermen were stranded in Bay of Bengal amid threats of Cyclone Asani. The fishermen were rescued from a boat off Odisha Coast near Sonapur.
Coast Guard ships on patrol have been broadcasting weather warnings to fishermen and mariners at sea.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
