In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, ashes of 53 people, who succumbed to the Covid-19 infection during the second wave of pandemic, lie unclaimed in the crematorium.
Several months after overcrowded crematoriums across the country painted a horrific picture of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, ashes of 53 coronavirus victims lie unclaimed in Agra’s crematorium as family members fail to collect their final remains.
According to an employee of the electric crematorium in Agra's Tajganj, when the pandemic was at its peak, dozens of bodies had arrived for cremation, with no family member accompanying them due to fear of infection. The last rites of these bodies were done by the staff of the crematorium and their ashes were carefully preserved so that the families of the deceased could come later and take the ashes for immersion in the Ganges.

Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son, Tej Pratap, is speaking of wisdom and devotion again. He's no longer the Krishna bhakt that he was. He is now sporting saffron attire in Reels, and is propagating Shiva bhakti. His new Instagram handle is SantTejPratapYadav. After political and personal isolation, Teju bhaiya seems to have found solace in Rudraksha, Shiva bhajans and the Shiva Puran.
