Impressionist Reveals His Hilarious Bit That Gave Barack Obama ‘Serious PTSD’

“I mean, come on, man," the former president told Matt Friend.
Comedian Matt Friend returned to political mimicry during an interview on Ari Melber’s MSNBC show on Wednesday and ― amid his mocking of President Donald Trump ― shared a behind-the-scenes moment that he said left even former President Barack Obama doing a double-take.
Friend recalled performing a joint bit with Obama at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, where he (as Obama) and the ex-POTUS called on people to vote in the upcoming presidential election.
After the interaction, Friend said he couldn’t resist slipping into another impression ― this time of outgoing Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
“So, right after that interaction,” Friend recounted, “I actually took out my [Mitch] McConnell glasses and I go, ‘Barack, it really is thrilling to be with you in the same room again.’”
Obama, he said, didn’t miss a beat and told him: “You’ve got to put those glasses away. That is giving me serious PTSD. I mean, come on, man.”
