IMD predicts extremely heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry on Nov 18

IMD predicted isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 17 and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and south Coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 18.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on November 16 predicted extremely heavy falls for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and south coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 18.

The IMD forecast indicated that a low-pressure area lying over the southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to move nearly westwards and reach west-central and adjoining south-west Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh-north Tamilnadu coasts on November 18.
