IMD issues Orange alert for Delhi-NCR, moderate-heavy rain to continue till 5:30 pm

The IMD has issued an orange alert for three hours in the National Capital Region (NCR). Delhi-NCR will be under orange alert between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
Amid heavy rainfall in Delhi on Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for three hours in Delhi-NCR. According to the IMD's Regional Meteorological Centre in New Delhi, Delhi-NCR will be under orange alert between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm as moderate-heavy rainfall is expected to continue till then. Due to the downpour over Friday and Saturday, the 2021 monsoons in Delhi have already witnessed the highest annual rainfall in 46 years. According to the Safdarjung observatory, Delhi recorded 94.7 mm of rainfall between 8.30 am on Friday and 8.30 am on Saturday.More Related News
