The Bombay High Court on Tuesday directed the Maharashtra government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to form a policy on an "SOS basis" to avoid incidents of fake vaccination drives similar to the alleged scam in Mumbai's Hiranandani Heritage housing society. "It is unimaginable that during this crisis when entire humanity is suffering, people are committing such frauds. The procedure to be adopted by housing societies for vaccination, to ensure that such fake vaccination drives are not undertaken," the Bombay High Court said. "The state and the BMC must come up with a policy or guidelines on an SOS basis for private vaccination camps to avoid similar incidents in future," a bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni said.More Related News
