A clip shared by IFS officer Parween Kaswan on Twitter showed how a mother elephant saved her baby from drowning in a river. The incident happened near Nagrakata in North Bengal and the footage has gone viral online with over 46k views.
In the now-viral video, a herd of elephants can be seen crossing a river. However, a mother and her calf are left behind as the baby starts drifting away due to the strong currents. The mother struggled to save her offspring but the baby jumbo kept wobbling. However, soon enough, the mother was able to get a hold of the calf's trunk and both of them exited the river safely.
