I-T dept detects undisclosed income of Rs 750 crore after raids on Bengaluru contractors

The I-T department has detected undisclosed income of about Rs 750 crore after carrying out searches on three Bengaluru-based contractors. The three were found to be involved in the suppression of their income.

The Income Tax department has detected undisclosed income of about Rs 750 crore after carrying out search and seizure operations on three Bengaluru-based contractors engaged in the execution of irrigation and highway projects.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, the searches commenced on October 7 and were carried out at 47 premises spread across four states.
