Hyderabad airport dismisses the video showing terrorist activity at the airport as fake and misleading, assures normal operations at the with enhanced security measures in place.
Authorities at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) have dismissed a viral video circulating on social media — that claims to show terrorist movement at the airport — as fake and misleading.
In an advisory released on Tuesday (May 13, 2025), the airport officially clarified that the visuals seen in the video were from a mock drill conducted as part of routine preparedness measures in light of the ongoing security situation. “We would like to inform you that a video circulating on social media about terrorist movements at RGI Airport is fake and misleading. The visuals are from a mock drill exercise conducted as part of preparedness measures due to the ongoing situation,” the advisory stated.
The airport further assured that operations at the airport remain normal and that enhanced security protocols were implemented to ensure passenger safety.
