In view of heavy rains, the Nehru Zoo Park has closed Tiger Safari Park in Hyderabad. The city has been witnessing heavy showers for the last few days.
In view of heavy rains, Hyderabad's Nehru Zoo Park has closed Tiger Safari Park. The zoo authorities revealed that the safari park had been closed as the water from Mir Alam Tank had entered the premises.
In an official statement, the zoo authorities said that though the Tiger Safari Park has been closed, the remaining sections of the zoo will be open to the public as usual from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
As per the reports, the water level in the tank next to Nehru Zoological Park increased and overflowed into the weir that goes through the zoo.
Due to incessant rainfall, the region around Safari Park was flooded.
According to the reports, the animals at the park are safe inside the zoo and are being monitored continuously.
NO RESPITE FROM RAIN
Parts of Hyderabad have been witnessing heavy rainfall for the past few days. The water level at the Hussain Sagar lake has also increased, leading to the overflowing of drains and inundation of roads.
