Telangana Tourism Minister inaugurates water sports at Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad, introducing Jet Skis, Water Rollers, Jet Attack, and Kayak.
Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao inaugurated a series of watersports at Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad on Wednesday (December 4, 2024).They included Jet Ski, Water Roller, Jet Attack and Kayak. They are introduced in collaboration with Amaravathi Boating Club on revenue sharing basis.
The price for Jet Ski ride is ₹500 per head, ₹400 per head for Jet Attack, ₹100 for Water Roller and ₹250 for Kayak ride.
The Tourism Minister said that there is a need to clean the lake. Mr. Rao said that though the previous government assured to turn Hussain Sagar into a clean lake, the promise was unfulfilled.
Stating that water sports have become popular among people, Mr. Rao said that the government is taking steps towards water-based tourism and developing water sports; they are working to examine water resources across the State and identify areas suitable for tourism development.
