Human error caused Mumbai power outage, not cyberattack: Union Power Minister RK Singh
India Today
Union Power Minister RK Singh on Tuesday said that the massive grid failure, which hit Mumbai and surrounding areas on 12 October last year, was "caused by human error and not due to cyber-attack".
Union Power Minister RK Singh has denied reports that claimed Chinese hackers were behind the massive power outage in Mumbai last October. Two teams investigated the power outage and submitted that the outage was caused by human error & not due to cyber attack. One of the teams submitted that cyber attack did happen but they were not linked to the Mumbai grid failure: Union Power Minister RK Singh https://t.co/19mShq1QsQ pic.twitter.com/625dyhikJP FM Spokesperson: As staunch defender of cyber security, China firmly opposes&cracks down on all forms of cyber attacks. I feel media reports that have surfaced are true.
