Of late, Kerala has been consistently accounting for more than 60 per cent of India’s overall coronavirus caseload, but an analysis of the government’s Covid dashboard shows no disproportionate surge in hospitalization or deaths from the infection in the southern state since August. Home to only 2.6 per cent of the country’s population, Kerala has reported 13 per cent of Covid infections cumulatively till now since the start of the pandemic last year.
