Home Minister V. Anitha praises nurses for their dedication and care, emphasizing their role as caregivers and advocates.
Hailing the importance of nurses in healthcare, Home Minister V. Anitha said that she often sees nurses play the role of a mother. “Just as a mother cares for her child with unconditional love and attention, nurses dedicate themselves to the well-being of every patient, treating everyone equally, providing care with empathy, patience, and respect,” she said.
She took part in International Women’s Day celebrations, organised by the Andhra Pradesh Government Nurses Association, at the Andhra Medical College, here, on Sunday.
The Home Minister said that the State government was giving top priority to the welfare and security of women. The governments were according top priority to women, while preparing manifestos, she said.
Ms. Anitha said that there were some issues pertaining to the nurses’ association and assured them that she would bring them to the notice of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. She also said that the government would ensure that each and every ward in the KGH has CCTV cameras, ensuring security for the patients as well as the healthcare staff. She also reiterated that the Shakthi app was launched by the NDA government for the safety and security of women.
Ms. Anitha, MLA Vamsikrishna Srinivasa Yadav and officials from the KGH and AMC felicitated several nurses for their meritorious services.
