India Today
Lawrence Bishnoi gang operative Harry Boxer has allegedly threatened actor Himanshi Khurana with an extortion demand of Rs 10 crore, triggering a police alert.
After Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh, a fresh threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has put actor Himanshi Khurana under heightened police protection. The actor has reportedly received an extortion call demanding Rs 10 crore, prompting authorities in Punjab to move swiftly and tighten her security.
According to police sources, the threat call originated in Chandigarh and allegedly came from gangster Harry Boxer, believed to be a key operative of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang operating from abroad. The caller not only demanded money but also issued threats to Khurana’s safety, triggering immediate intervention by law enforcement.
Confirming the development, Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Hans said that the information had been received and that a First Information Report would be registered. Police officials added that surveillance around the actress has been stepped up as a precautionary measure.
This is not an isolated incident. Members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have, in recent months, repeatedly targeted personalities from the film and music industries, raising serious concerns about the safety of high-profile figures.
Earlier this year, singer B Praak had also reportedly received a threat call, while his associate Dilnoor was allegedly targeted by gang members. These incidents have underscored a growing pattern of intimidation aimed at celebrities.
In a separate but related development, a man identifying himself as Hari Boxer recently released an audio message threatening actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. In the recording, the speaker warned of violent consequences if his demands were not met and claimed to have detailed information about their staff and associates.
