At least 10 people lost their lives and 14 others were injured after a bus and couple of vehicles got buried under landslide debris in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur on Wednesday.

Ten people lost their lives and 14 were rescued after a landslide struck a bus in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur on Wednesday. The bus, which was on its way to Haridwar from Kinnaur, got buried under the debris along with a couple of other vehicles. The rescue operation was immensely difficult because of the shooting rocks and the condition of the terrain. The landslide tragedy at Kinnaur is very saddening. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives. May the injured recover at the earliest. Rescue operations are underway and everything possible is being done to assist those still trapped. Earlier on July 25, nine people were killed and three others injured in multiple landslides near Batseri in Kinnaur district. Similarly on July 27, at least eight people died, two were injured and two went missing in flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in Lahaul-Spiti district.
