“Vaccines are the best tool we have,” Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will require all of its more than 25,000 health care workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Secretary Xavier Becerra said Thursday. “Our number one goal is the health and safety of the American public, including our federal workforce, and vaccines are the best tool we have to protect people from COVID-19, prevent the spread of the delta variant, and save lives,” Becerra. “Requiring our HHS health care workforce to get vaccinated will protect our federal workers, as well as the patients and people they serve.” Surgeon General Vivek Murthy also said members of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps must be vaccinated.More Related News
