Heavy rainfall cripples normal life in Ludhiana; several areas waterlogged

After receiving heavy rainfall on Saturday, normal life was crippled in Punjab's Ludhiana, with several roads waterlogged and traffic snarls at various places in the city. The disruption of vehicular movement in the industrial hub irked residents who had to wait for several hours due to water accumulation.

Even the area outside the municipal corporation area was in bad shape due to the heavy downpour. Waterlogging was reported from many parts of the city and some vehicles also developed a technical snag due to water accumulation. Several low-lying areas were inundated with rainwater on Saturday following heavy rains.
