The Hindu petitioners in the Gyanvapi case said they will seek more time from the Supreme Court and seek adjournment in Varanasi court.
As the Supreme Court and the local Varanasi court get ready to continue the hearing in the Gyanvapi mosque case on Thursday, May 19, the Hindu petitioners will seek more time from the top court.
Talking to India Today TV, Vishnu Shankar Jain said that the Hindu petitioners in the Gyanvapi mosque case will ask for more time from the Supreme court. He said that they would also seek adjournment of the case in the Varanasi court.
"No affidavit has been filed by us. We will ask for time. Will also ask for adjournment in Varanasi court," he said.
After the discovery of the shivling, the Supreme Court asked the Varanasi district magistrate to ensure the area in the complex is protected without restricting the Muslim community’s right to worship.
