Guwahati Police arrests two women for drug peddling, seizes 1.78 grams of suspected heroin

The Guwahati police arrested two women on Monday for peddling drugs. They have seized 1.78 grams of suspected heroin, 10 vials etc. from the accused.
The West Guwahati Police Department nabbed two females who were involved in illegal drug peddling from the Katia Bridge in Jalukbari on Monday.
As per the report by the local media house, both women have been involved in drug peddling for a while now. After receiving a special tip, police nabbed the accused.
The police not only arrested the accused but also recovered 1.78 grams of suspected heroin, 10 vials, two mobile phones and cash worth more than three thousand.
Both of them were arrested two kilometres away from the office of the DCP-West and a few hundred metres from the Jalukbari Outpost.
Yesterday, the police also arrested eight people who were involved in drug abuse and peddling. The operation was reportedly carried out by a team of Sonapur Police based on information from their sources.
