
Gurugram: Pataudi civic panel chief receives threat, goons demand stake in business

The chairman of Pataudi municipal committee, Ram Chandra Sehgal, allegedly received threats in which the miscreants asked him for a 50 per cent stake in his liquor business. A purported audio clip of the miscreants issuing threats has now gone viral.
Two days after unidentified people on a motorcycle opened fire at the residence of Pataudi municipal committee chairman in Gurugram, a purported audio clip of miscreants issuing threats to him has gone viral. The chairman, Ram Chandra Sehgal, who also runs a liquor business, received alleged threats from unknown callers in which they are asking for a 50 per cent stake in the business.
In the purported 52 second audio clip, the callers can be heard saying, "It will be better if Ram Chandra talks to us on his own...We will destroy you as we are doing a recee of you and your family members. We know everything about your younger brother, Navin, who is currently in Australia. We want a 50 per cent stake in your liquor business. I want the name of 'Ajay Jaldhar' outside every wine shop that you own."
Meanwhile, ACP Crime, Preet pal Singh, Gurugram, said, "We have the audio clip in our possession and we are investigating the matter from all angles. On April 12, Tuesday, a few unidentified miscreants opened fire at the residence of the Chairman."
Earlier, police said that that they recovered CCTV footage of the firing in Pataudi area of Gurugram but a breakthrough is yet to be achieved. ACP said they scanned the CCTV camera and they are making efforts to arrest the accused.
However, police have acquired the production warrant of wanted notorious gang members, Kala Jatheri and Naresh Sethi, of Lawerence Bishnoi and claimed that they would crack the case soon.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
