Gujarat police entered party office in Ahmedabad without permission, alleges Congress

The police allegedly entered Congress' Gujarat office and misbehaved with female party workers.

The Congress today accused the Gujarat Police of entering the party’s state office in Ahmedabad without any permission or notice and misbehaving with female party workers. The party will now take legal action against the police, the party’s Gujarat unit chief said.

“As a responsible party, Congress is protesting all over the country. Even in Gujarat, the Congress is protesting against inflation. Do we not have the right to protest? Prices of everything are skyrocketing. Should we not protest against that?” Khera asked.

“Today police officials entered our Gujarat office and misbehaved with female Congress workers. They took away an effigy of inflation which we wanted to burn. We can't even burn effigies of inflation. How can police officials without any permission or documents enter the state Congress office or any political office?” the leader questioned.

Gujarat Congress chief Jagdish Thakor said, “All our legal experts and advocates have reached our office. We are going through the CCTV cameras of our office and collecting evidence. We will take legal action against the police officials.”
