
'Great loss to art': Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath lead tributes to comedian Raju Srivastava

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and several others expressed grief after comedian Raju Srivastava passed away aged 58. Srivastava was hospitalised for over a month after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Comedian Raju Srivastava died on Wednesday, September 21, over a month after he was hospitalised after suffering a cardiac arrest at gym. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, among others, paid tributes to the late comedian.
Srivastava, 58, had suffered severe brain damage after the cardiac arrest, and had remained unconscious and under observation at AIIMS, Delhi since August 10.
"Renowned comedian Raju Srivastava had a unique style, he impressed everyone with his amazing talent. His death is a great loss to the art world. I express my condolences to his family and fans. May God give them the strength to bear this grief," wrote Home Minister Amit Shah on Twitter.

Taking to Twitter, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "I am deeply saddened by the passing away of renowned comedian, Raju Srivastava. Apart from being an accomplished artist, he was also a very lively person. He was also very active in the social field. I extend my condolences to his bereaved family and fans."
