Telangana Government plans to engage overseas doctors for patient care during their visits, supported by a dedicated online platform.
The Government is actively working on a proposal to rope in services of Telangana doctors working abroad to treat patients when they come to the State on vacation/holiday.
The doctors in patient care as well as in academics are being considered. An exclusive website is being created for this, which will provide online access to the professionals and act as a platform to bring them together.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said doctors hailing from the State earned repute abroad and the government wanted to utilise their services for the State. “I have personally contacted some of them regarding the idea. The Health department has been directed to take the plan forward,” he said adding the website would be available soon.
The government is contemplating to provide incentives to specialist medical professionals engaged by the government whenever they perform tasks like surgeries to encourage them.
