Moh Israil, a 24-year-old vegetable vendor, said his income had gone down because of the "corona curfew". Feeding his family is Israil's first priority. He said he didn't want to get vaccinated because there was no one to take care of his family if he fell sick. Another vegetable vendor, Khurkaan, said he was absolutely fine and does not need any vaccine to save him from Covid-19. Khurkaan said he had been working throughout the pandemic and nothing happened to him as yet.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
