Goa CM lashes out at Kejriwal, says his statement on The Kashmir Files 'inhumane'

Goa CM Pramod Sawant hit out at Arvind Kejriwal over his recent comments on the hotly-debated movie The Kashmir Files on Friday.

Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has hit out at the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal over his recent comments on the controversial film The Kashmir Files.

Sawant termed Kejriwal’s comments as inhumane and an insult to the people who had faced atrocities in the valley.

While Kejriwal's Govt in the past waived of tax for several Bollywood films, he refuses to do the same on #KashmirFiles and goes a step ahead by mocking and laughing at the film which brings to light the Kashmiri Hindu Genocide. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/1ONw3jvaKw

This comes against the backdrop of Arvind Kejriwal’s recent comments on the film in the budget session of the Delhi assembly that went viral on Thursday.

The Delhi Chief Minister said, “They [BJP] are saying make Kashmir Files tax free. Why do you want to make it tax free? If you are so interested, then tell Vivek Agnihotri to put on YouTube. That way, the film will be free for all and everybody will be able to see it as well.”

The film Kashmir Files has been under a cloud of controversy since its release and has been declared tax free by the Goa Chief Minister. Pramod Sawant had praised the film for what he termed a 'realistic portrayal'. He had even run down on the Congress government and said that the successive Congress governments had never cared for the welfare of the Kashmiri Hindus.
