Business tycoon Gautam Adani has slipped to the third spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with Amazon's Jeff Bezos overtaking him on the list.
According to the latest listing on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Gautam Adani's net worth stands at USD 135 bn, behind Jeff Bezos's USD 138 bn net worth. Tesla's Elon Musk leads the list with a net worth of USD 245 bn.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is a daily ranking index of the world's billionaires updated at the close of every trading day in New York.

On August 30, Gautam Adani became the first Asian to break into the top 3 of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index by surpassing Louis Vuitton's Bernard Arnault.
Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani is at the 11th spot in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a net worth of USD 82.4 bn.
Gautam Adani is set to invest USD 100 bn over the next decade across sectors such as new energy and data centers, and 70 per cent of this investment would be in the energy transition sector.
