Gauri Pradhan to reunite with Hiten Tejwani for Sarojini Naidu biopic, to play his daughter | Exclusive

Gauri Pradhan has bagged a pivotal role in Sarjini Naidu biopic. The actress will be playing her husband Hiten Tejwani's daughter in the film.

Gauri Pradhan and Hiten Tejwani will be reuniting on screen after a long time. The couple have bagged important roles in the upcoming film titled Sarojini, which a biopic on the Nightingale of Indian, Sarojini Naidu. Hiten will be seen as Sarojini Naidu's husband Govindarajulu Naidu in the film.

We have exclusive information that Gauri Pradhan will be playing Padmaja Naidu, Sarojini and Govindarajulu Naidu's daughter in the film. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, writer Dhiraj Mishra, confirmed that Gauri Pradhanwill be seen playing the role of Padmaja in Sarojini.

"When I was reading out the script to Gauri Pradhan, she was quite excited about Padmaja's role. When I said you will play Hiten's daughter, she had a smile on her face. She said that it won't be a problem as we are actors and we like to take challenges," said Dhiraj Mishra, who is the writer of the film.

"When I narrated her part, she said that she would like to read more about Padmaja Naidu so that she can do justice to her role," he added.

Gauri and Hiten were last seen together on Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi in 2015. The couple, who first shared screen space in a soap commercial, rose to fame with Ekta Kapoor's Kutumb and were later seen as a couple in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Sarojini stars Shanti Priya and Sonal Monteiro in lead roles. Veteran actress Zarina Wahab will be seen as Sarojini Naidu's mother, Varada Sundari Devi in the film, which is being made in four languages - Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu. Presented by Visica Films, the Sarojini Naidu biopic is being produced by Charan Suvarna and Honey Chaudhary and co-produced by Hemant Gowda. Vinay Chandra will be directing the film written by Yashomati and Dhiraj Mishra.
