‘G23’, or the group of 23 dissenters, have asked to call for an emergency AICC meeting, saying that the responsibility for the recent poll debacle needs to be fixed.
According to the reports, the target is the composition of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), accountability for the recent poll debacle, and the completion of organisational polls.
Meanwhile, party MPs Kapil Sibbal and Manish Tiwari Manish Tewari held a meeting at former leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad's house on Friday. According to sources, they discussed the party's poor performance and future strategy.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
