
Fresher dies by suicide at medical college in Telangana

A young woman studying physiotherapy at a medical college in Telangana's Siddipet died by suicide recently. She has been identified as a fresher who hailed from the Peddapalli district of the state.
The woman was a student at the Surabhi Medical College located in Mittapalli.
She was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside a vacant dormitory on the college campus.
Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot. A case has been registered in connection with the matter.
Further investigation is underway.

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
