
Former MLA K.V. Abdul Khader chosen as new CPI(M) Thrissur district secretary

Former MLA K.V. Abdul Khader appointed as new CPI(M) Thrissur district secretary at district conference.
K.V. Abdul Khader, former MLA of Guruvayur, has been appointed as the new Thrissur district secretary of the CPI(M). The decision was taken at the district conference held in Kunnamkulam on Tuesday.
Mr. Khader, who currently serves as the LDF district convener and a member of the CPI(M) district secretariat, is also chairman of Pravasi Welfare Board and State general secretary of Pravasi Sangham. He represented the Guruvayur constituency in the Kerala Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2021.
Having entered the party through the youth movement, Mr. Khader served as the district president of the DYFI and as a State committee member of the DYFI. In July 1997, he participated as a representative of DYFI at the 14th World Festival of Youth and Students held in Havana, Cuba.

The Shakespeare Millennium Club in collaboration with the Annai Velankanni Church (Society of St. Vincent De Paul), conducted a Free Medical Camp on November 23, 2025 at the church premises from 9 am to 6 pm, with Dr. Samundi Sankari and Dr. Divya Sivaraman of Srushti Hospitals, Dr. Sharada L N of Aramba, the Kumaran Dental Clinic, Lychee and Satya Physiotherapy Centre, according to a press release.
