The blockbuster film by Sandeep Reddy Vanga had the whole world debating about the central character Arjun Reddy. However, no one can deny that Vijay Deverakonda nailed the portrayal of the arrogant, rebellious, stubborn, young surgeon Arjun Reddy. In the film, he is shown to have a furious temper, but when he falls in love with Preethi, he does everything in his power to win her parents over. But when she marries another man, Arjun sets out on a self-destructive path of drinking, drugs and smoking, ruining his career and life. The film takes you through a flashback of Arjun Reddy in college and the man he becomes after losing the love of his life. Today, the film Arjun Reddy is synonymous with Vijay Deverakonda. So, it is hard to imagine anyone else portraying the character. But according to reports, when director Sandeep Reddy Vanga saw Sharwanand's performance in Vennela, he knew he wanted to cast the actor for his debut film. Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Sharwanand revealed that he was indeed offered the role first. He said, "Sandeep narrated the story to me first. Actually, he wanted to produce the film, but I felt that it was a big responsibility for him, so I sent him to a few producers. But they felt that it was a risky project and that's how I couldn't do it. I felt bad that I couldn't do the project."More Related News
