The Kolkata airport has made it mandatory for all incoming passengers from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana to carry an RT-PCR negative test report conducted within 72 hours before departure. The decision has been taken as per the state government's guidelines. West Bengal on Tuesday recorded the highest single-day spike of 4,817 coronavirus cases, pushing the tally to 6,24,224, the health department said in a bulletin.
