A viral video shows a group of school girls arguing and brawling with one another in Madurai, the third such incident reported in Tamil Nadu in the past week.
A long-standing squabble between schoolgirls escalated into an all-out brawl at a bus stop in Tamil Nadu’s temple city, Madurai, on Saturday. The video of the incident has gone viral.
The busy Madurai Periyar bus stand was the scene of the fight. According to reports, two groups of girl students had been quarrelling since Thursday. What had been limited to verbal spats took an ugly turn on Saturday as the violent fracas unfolded in full public glare.
In a video shot by a bystander, several girl students can be seen pulling each other by the hair, kicking one another and rolling on the ground as they tussle. Instead of intervening, commuters at the bus stop egg them on.
India Today is not posting the video of the fight to protect the identities of the minors involved.
This is the third incident of students caught fighting in a public area in Tamil Nadu this past week. Earlier, women college students were seen in a veritable fistfight at a bus stop in Chennai.
