At least eight people were burnt alive when a fire engulfed a scrap godown in Hyderabad’s Bhoiguda area. Six fire engines were required to bring the fire under control.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) central zone, all eight bodies were retrieved from the wreckage and shifted to Gandhi Hospital for further formalities.
All those who died were migrant workers from Bihar employed at the scrap godown.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
