A 55-year-old woman and her daughter in suburban Andheri allegedly committed suicide by setting themselves on fire at their home, the police said on Wednesday. Asmita Gupta and Srishti Gupta, the deceased, are the wife and daughter of Hindi filmmaker Santosh Gupta, an official said. The duo was a resident of D N Nagar in Andheri (west), Mumbai. They set themselves aflame on Monday afternoon in their apartment.
