
Female RPF constable attacked in Chennai while stopping drunk man from boarding ladies coach

Asiva, a female RFP constable, was attacked by a drunk man with a knife when she tried to prevent him from boarding the woman’s compartment on a train. The incident took place on Tuesday and Chennai and special teams have been formed to nab the culprit.
A female Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable who stopped an allegedly drunk man from getting into ladies compartment of a train was attacked and left with a knife wound to her neck.
RPF constable Asiva was in the ladies compartment of a train moving towards Chengalpattu at Chennai Beach station on Tuesday, August 23.
As the train began to move, a reportedly drunk man entered the compartment. Confronting him, Asiva told him to leave the women’s compartment, and he pulled a knife and slashed Asiva’s neck before jumping out.
Asiva collapsed on the platform but was immediately taken to Egmore Government Hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, RPF has initiated an investigation and CCTV footage is being analysed and two special teams have been formed to catch the culprit.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
