At least three people, including a father-son duo were killed after a speeding loader collided head on with their bike in Kanpur on Wednesday morning.
Three men, including a father-son duo were killed after a speeding loader collided head-on with their bike on Shivrajpur road in Kanpur on Wednesday morning.
The accident took place when the trio, travelling on the same bike, were heading towards Nevada village to attend a function.
SP Outer Kanpur Ajit Sinha said the three men travelling on the same bike were heading towards Nevada village to attend a ceremony. It was when they reached Shivrajpur road that a speeding loader collided head on with their bike, killing the trio on the spot.
The accused driver fled, leaving his vehicle on the spot.
Soon, police were informed, who later took the bodies into possession and sent it for postmortem. The deceased have been identified as Umashankar, his son Sudhir and relative Amar Singh.
While police have registered a case, efforts are on to nab the accused driver.
