Farmers to leave protest sites only after proceedings to repeal farm laws starts in Parliament

Farmers, who are protesting against the three farm laws at the Singhu border near Delhi, said they will leave the protest site only after the proceedings to repeal the laws begin in Parliament.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Friday that the central government will withdraw the three farm laws and urged protesting farmers to return to their families. However, farmers who are camping at the Singhu border near Delhi said they will only leave the protest site only after the proceedings to repeal the laws begin in Parliament.

"Farmers will only leave once the proceedings to repeal the three farm laws begin during the Parliament session (that begins this month)," sources at Singhu border told India Today TV.
