Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle recently took to Twitter to share a bitter experience he had with the cab booking app, Uber. Bhogle had pre-booked a cab for reaching the airport and it didn’t show up. However, that’s not all. The Twitter thread has prompted a flurry of reactions from tweeple.
Bhogle tweeted how he pre-booked a cab for catching an early morning flight. But the cab didn’t show up. After booking another cab through the same app, he was informed by the driver that many of them choose not to go to pre-booked trips.
“I had heard that @Uber_India was plumbing new depths. Experienced today. Pre-booked an Uber, never turned up. Booked another and the new driver casually says we never go to pre-booked bookings. No accountability,” Bhogle wrote.
New car turns up. Can't put on seat belt because the upholstery has covered it. And we thought multinational brands maintained standards. @Uber @Uber_India @Uber_Support @UberINSupport. Only just made my flight eventually.
The issue doesn’t end here. In a separate tweet, Bhogle also shared the fact that Uber didn’t even respond to his complaint. The customer support also didn’t reach out to him about the incident.
Still no response from @UberINSupport @uber. Not even on DM. https://t.co/6pvN6s6ZG4
Bhogle’s Twitter thread received several comments. A large section of the internet expressed similar grievances regarding the services of Uber. One netizen also prompted Bhogle to start the hashtag #boycottUber. Bhogle, however, plainly refused to indulge in any such instigation.
